Sometimes God comforts the afflicted, and sometimes he afflicts the comforted! Sometimes it is necessary for God to prick our conscience in order to wake us up. In fact the Holy Spirit has a ministry called His “convicting” work which is meant to produce personal anguish that results in positive change. But, should we take it upon ourselves to help the Holy Spirit convict others?
