What are you afraid of?

Today we are going to begin a new series of messages on Overcoming our Fears, and Sharing Our Faith. Let me zoom in on the number one fear of Americans. The fear of speaking in public. Most people are afraid of talking to groups of people, large or small, and a great majority of us are painfully uncomfortable talking to individuals, especially strangers. That’s why making friends and building relationships is so difficult for us. And that is precisely why sharing our faith ranks so high in the fear factor scale. We are afraid of what people might think of us. We don’t want them to think we are stupid. We don’t feel well versed enough in our faith to bring it up. In this new series of messages, Pastor Dennis aims to conquer your fears so that you can be an effective witness.
